Communications Program

Mission Statement

To provide Tribal member households with information about Tribal government operations and membership services. The Communications program publishes a monthly news publication for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. The program also provides quick-print services for government offices, the tribal Economic Development Corporation and the tribal membership.

  • Persona Advertisements:
     Tribal members may place personal advertisements in the Tribal GTB News publication at no charge. Please limit the number and size of your submission to three advertisements (Photo's may be included). The GTB News reserves the right to combine items or make other adjustments to accommodate our page layout. Send your material to the Communications program by the third Friday of the month prior to the month of publication. If you would like your material returned, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
  • Classified and Business advertisements will be charged a 15 dollar setup fee for significant layout work
  • Payment is due prior to the publication of your information
  • Checks must be made out to the:
    Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians
  • The right to refuse to print is maintained by the GTB Communications Program
  • Religious and Civic Event Announcements may be exempt from charges please call to make arrangements

We welcome news and announcements of non-profit Native American events. Please try to limit your information to 500 words or less. Prices are subject to change.

Non-member subscriptions are available for $24.00 per year.
